Rallio Terms of Service

Welcome to Rallio. These Terms of Service explain the rules for using Rallio, including our app, website, API, video analysis features, social features, subscriptions, and related services. By creating an account, downloading the app, uploading content, purchasing a subscription, or using Rallio in any way, you agree to these Terms; if you do not agree, do not use Rallio. In these Terms, "Rallio", "we", "us", and "our" means Rallio and the people or service providers who operate Rallio on our behalf.

About Rallio

Rallio is a tennis activity app that helps players track scores, save match history, build a tennis profile, discover courts, analyse tennis activity, and share tennis moments with friends. Rallio may include features such as score tracking, match history, player profiles, tennis statistics, court discovery, social posts and activity feeds, on-device match analysis, video upload for social posts, shot maps and visual match summaries, optional model-improvement contribution features, and subscriptions or paid features. Some features may be experimental, limited, or available only to certain users, plans, platforms, or locations.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required in your country, to use Rallio. If you are under 18, you must have permission from your parent or guardian to use Rallio, and your parent or guardian is responsible for your use of Rallio. Rallio is not directed to children under 13. If you use Rallio on behalf of a club, business, school, team, coach, or organisation, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms on their behalf.

Your account

You may need an account to use some Rallio features. You agree to provide accurate account information and keep it up to date, and to keep your login details secure. You are responsible for activity that happens through your account unless the activity was caused by Rallio's failure to use reasonable care. You must not create an account using false information, impersonate another person, use another person's account without permission, sell or transfer your account in a way that creates security or safety risks, or use Rallio if we have suspended or banned you unless we give you permission. If you believe your account has been accessed without permission, reach us through our contact page at https://www.rallio.lol/contact.

Beta service and feature changes

Rallio may be offered as a beta, MVP, preview, or early-access service. Beta features may change before public release, be incomplete, contain bugs, produce incorrect results, be removed or limited, have usage caps, be unavailable at times, or generate analysis with lower confidence or experimental labels. We may change, suspend, discontinue, limit, or rename features at any time, including subscription features, beta features, and experimental video-analysis features. Where required by law or app store rules, we will provide appropriate notice or remedies.

Licence to use Rallio

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Rallio for your own lawful tennis activity, personal use, and permitted community use. Unless we give you written permission, you must not use Rallio for commercial services, club management, coaching businesses, tournaments, resale, data brokerage, or third-party analytics services. You must not copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to extract Rallio's source code, models, algorithms, or internal systems except where the law does not allow us to restrict this; use Rallio to build a competing product or dataset; scrape, crawl, harvest, or bulk-export Rallio data; bypass usage limits, subscriptions, access controls, safety controls, or technical restrictions; interfere with Rallio's security or infrastructure; use automated systems to create accounts, post content, upload media, or access data without permission; or use Rallio in a way that breaks the law or infringes another person's rights.

Rallio's intellectual property

Rallio, including the app, website, software, design, branding, logos, text, graphics, user interface, APIs, analysis systems, models, algorithms, datasets, and other technology, is owned by Rallio or our licensors. These Terms do not give you ownership of Rallio's intellectual property. You may not use Rallio's name, logo, branding, screenshots, marketing assets, or product materials in a way that suggests endorsement, partnership, or affiliation without our permission.

Your content

"User Content" means content you create, upload, submit, save, post, or share through Rallio, which may include profile information, match records, scores, notes, comments, posts, photos, videos, recordings, clips, thumbnails, court information, tags, feedback, support messages, and other content you provide. You keep ownership of your User Content. You are responsible for your User Content and for making sure you have all rights, permissions, and consents needed to upload, store, post, share, or contribute it.

Licence you give us to operate the service

To provide Rallio, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, process, transmit, display, publish, analyse, modify for technical purposes, and create technical derivatives of your User Content. This lets us do things such as save your match history, display your profile, publish posts you choose to share, show comments or cheers, host videos you add to a post, generate thumbnails, store the shot maps and analytics your device computes and syncs, generate share cards, provide support, maintain backups, and secure and debug the service. Match analysis itself runs on your device, so this licence covers hosting the videos you post and storing your synced results rather than analysing your footage on our servers. This normal service licence is for operating, providing, maintaining, securing, and improving Rallio's user-facing service. It does not automatically give us permission to use your uploaded match recordings to train Rallio's general machine-learning models; model improvement is optional and covered separately below. When you delete User Content or your account, this licence ends for that content, except where the content has already been shared with others and remains visible according to the feature used, limited copies remain in backups for a short period, we need to keep limited records for legal, safety, security, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, or compliance reasons, or the content was contributed to optional model improvement before withdrawal, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Public and shared content

Some Rallio features let you share content with other users or publicly. When you post, comment, share, tag another player, or make profile or match activity visible, other people may view, copy, save, react to, or share that content depending on the feature and your settings, so you should only share content you are comfortable making visible to others. We may remove, hide, restrict, label, or limit access to User Content if we believe it breaches these Terms, our Community Guidelines, another person's rights, or the law.

Recording and uploading tennis footage

Rallio lets you record tennis footage for on-device match analysis, and lets you add videos to social posts that are uploaded to Rallio to host. Match analysis runs on your device and your footage is not uploaded for analysis; a video is only uploaded to Rallio when you choose to add it to a post. You are responsible for making sure any footage you record or upload was created and used lawfully, and that you have any rights, permissions, and consents required from opponents, doubles partners, coaches, spectators, people on nearby courts, parents or guardians of minors, clubs, schools, court operators, tournament organisers, venue owners, and anyone else who may reasonably be affected. You must not upload footage that was recorded secretly where people had a reasonable expectation of privacy, breaches club, court, school, tournament, or venue rules, includes children without appropriate parent or guardian permission, includes private conversations that should not be uploaded or shared, is used to harass, shame, stalk, abuse, or identify another person without permission, includes offensive, sexual, violent, hateful, or illegal content, infringes copyright, privacy, publicity, confidentiality, or other rights, or violates our Community Guidelines. If someone contacts us saying your uploaded footage includes them and should not be available, we may review, remove, restrict, or disable the footage.

Video analysis is not official

Rallio's video analysis is for tennis activity tracking, review, entertainment, and personal improvement. Rallio is not an officiating, line-calling, umpiring, tournament-decision, betting, medical, professional-coaching, or safety system. Rallio's analysis may be incomplete, delayed, or wrong, and tennis footage can be affected by lighting, camera angle, glare, shadows, occlusion, player movement, nearby courts, camera movement, distance, weather, and video quality. You must not rely on Rallio for official match decisions, tournament outcomes, safety decisions, medical advice, gambling, or any situation where inaccurate analysis could cause harm.

Optional model improvement contribution

Rallio may, where available, offer you the choice to contribute eligible tennis footage or derived clips to help improve Rallio's tennis analysis technology. This is optional, off by default, and is not active today — there is currently no in-app control to opt in and no model-training program running on user uploads. If you do choose to contribute footage for model improvement, you grant Rallio a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use the contributed footage and related data (such as extracted clips, frames, thumbnails, court, ball, bounce, contact, rally, shot, and player-position labels, model confidence outputs, human review labels, technical metadata, and derived or de-identified datasets) to develop, train, test, validate, audit, and improve Rallio's tennis analysis models and safety systems, including by processing, cropping, muting, blurring, labelling, transforming, or annotating contributed footage, using human reviewers or contractors under confidentiality obligations, using cloud, storage, annotation, and machine-learning service providers acting on our behalf, and creating models, model weights, evaluation results, and safety thresholds from training or testing. You confirm you have the rights and permissions needed to contribute the footage, including from other identifiable people where required. You can use Rallio without contributing footage for model improvement.

Withdrawing model improvement contribution

If you have opted in to model improvement, you may withdraw that choice by reaching us through our contact page at https://www.rallio.lol/contact (or using in-app settings where available). After withdrawal, we will take reasonable steps to stop using the withdrawn footage and derived training samples in future training datasets. If a machine-learning model has already been trained using a previous dataset, it may not be technically practical to remove the influence of a specific item of data from that already-trained model; in that case, we will stop using the withdrawn footage in future training runs and apply the withdrawal to future datasets and model-development processes. Withdrawal does not affect service analysis already provided to you, de-identified or aggregated information that no longer reasonably identifies you, model weights or safety thresholds already created before withdrawal (except where applicable law requires otherwise), or records we must keep for legal, safety, security, compliance, or dispute-resolution reasons. More detail is in our Privacy Policy.

No facial recognition or biometric identity use

Rallio's tennis analysis is designed to analyse tennis activity, not to identify people by face. You must not use Rallio to create or upload content for facial recognition, biometric identification, stalking, surveillance, or identifying people without permission. We may remove content or suspend accounts that use Rallio in ways that create privacy, safety, or identity risks.

Community rules

You agree to follow our Community Guidelines. You must not use Rallio to harass, bully, shame, threaten, abuse, or intimidate others; post hateful, discriminatory, violent, sexual, or illegal content; post another person's private information without permission; impersonate someone else; misrepresent scores, match history, or identity in a harmful or deceptive way; spam, scam, phish, or manipulate users; upload malware or harmful code; interfere with Rallio's systems; evade bans, limits, or moderation; use Rallio for unlawful surveillance; or upload content that infringes another person's rights. We may remove content, restrict features, or suspend or terminate accounts if we believe these rules have been broken.

Subscriptions (Rallio Plus and VIP)

Rallio offers two auto-renewable subscription tiers sold through Apple in-app purchase: Plus and VIP. The tiers unlock different features — Plus unlocks live court search, premium sharing and progress features, and a monthly fair-use match-analysis allowance; VIP adds a higher fair-use match-analysis allowance and court-search limits, VIP profile treatment, and early access to new features. Match analysis runs on your device, so the analysis allowance is a fair-use guideline to keep the service reliable rather than a hard usage cap. Each tier is offered on a monthly or yearly billing period; the title, price, billing period, and any introductory free-trial length are shown on the purchase screen and on the App Store in your local currency before you buy. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. The subscription automatically renews for the same period at the same price unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your Apple ID is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the current period ends. You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renew at any time after purchase in your Apple ID account settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions); cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and no partial-period refunds are provided by Rallio. If a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription to that product. Subscription features and allowances may change over time, and where required by law or app store rules we will give appropriate notice. Monthly allowances (such as the fair-use match-analysis minutes and live court searches) reset each calendar month and do not carry over. Use of a Rallio subscription is also governed by Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/), and our Privacy Policy describes the data we process.

App store terms

If you download Rallio through the Apple App Store, Apple's terms and rules may also apply. For Apple-distributed versions of Rallio: these Terms are between you and Rallio, not Apple; Rallio, not Apple, is responsible for Rallio and its content; Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Rallio; Apple is not responsible for claims relating to Rallio or your use of it, or for Rallio's privacy or data handling; your licence to use Rallio is limited to Apple-branded products you own or control, as permitted by Apple's usage rules; and Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of the Apple-related parts of these Terms and may enforce them. If there is a conflict between these Terms and mandatory app store terms, the mandatory app store terms apply to the extent of the conflict.

Feedback

If you send us ideas, suggestions, bug reports, feature requests, designs, or feedback, you allow us to use them without restriction or payment to you, including to improve Rallio, create new features, develop products, fix bugs, update designs, and improve models or systems. Do not send us feedback that contains confidential information you do not want us to use.

Third-party services and links

Rallio may use or link to third-party services, including app stores, payment providers, cloud providers, analytics tools, support tools, identity providers, maps, court information sources, clubs, venues, and social platforms. Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them unless required by law.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect personal information. By using Rallio, you acknowledge that we handle personal information as described in our Privacy Policy. If there is a conflict between these Terms and the Privacy Policy about how we handle personal information, the Privacy Policy applies to the extent of that conflict.

Account deletion

You may request account deletion through the app where available or by reaching us through our contact page at https://www.rallio.lol/contact. When your account is deleted, we will take reasonable steps to delete or anonymise account-linked personal information, subject to our Privacy Policy and any legal, safety, security, backup, compliance, or dispute-resolution needs. Deleting your account may permanently remove access to your match history, media, posts, subscription-linked app features, analysis results, profile, and other account content. Deleting the app from your device does not automatically cancel app store subscriptions; you must cancel subscriptions through the relevant app store account settings.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using Rallio at any time. We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your account or access to Rallio if we reasonably believe that you breached these Terms or our Community Guidelines, created legal, privacy, security, or safety risk, infringed another person's rights, used your account for abuse, spam, fraud, or harmful activity, that we are required to act by law, a platform provider, or a court order, or that continuing to provide access would harm Rallio, users, or others. We may remove or restrict content at any time if we believe it breaches these Terms, creates risk, or may expose Rallio or others to liability. Sections that should reasonably survive termination continue to apply, including those about intellectual property, User Content licences already granted, model-improvement contributions, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, disputes, and applicable law.

Rights and takedown complaints

If you believe content on Rallio infringes your copyright, privacy, publicity, or other rights, reach us through our contact page at https://www.rallio.lol/contact with your name and contact details, a description of the content, where it appears in Rallio, the rights you believe are infringed, why you believe the content should be removed or restricted, and any supporting information. We may remove, restrict, disable, or investigate content in response to rights complaints. If your content is removed and you believe this was a mistake, you may contact us with an explanation.

Australian Consumer Law and non-excludable rights

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, remedy, warranty, or other protection that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted, or modified. For Australian users, our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Subject to those non-excludable rights, Rallio is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee that Rallio will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free; that video analysis will be accurate; that match statistics will be complete; that court information will be current; that social content will be accurate; that defects will be fixed immediately; that any particular feature will remain available; or that Rallio will meet your expectations or requirements. You are responsible for checking important information before relying on it, and you use Rallio at your own risk, subject to any rights that cannot be excluded by law.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rallio is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or opportunity, personal embarrassment, reputational harm, or loss arising from inaccurate tennis analysis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rallio's total liability for claims relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid Rallio for the service in the 12 months before the claim, or AUD $100. This limitation does not apply to liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law.

Indemnity

To the maximum extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify Rallio, its officers, employees, contractors, service providers, and affiliates from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses arising from your use of Rallio, your User Content, your uploaded recordings, your breach of these Terms or our Community Guidelines, your infringement of another person's rights, your failure to obtain consent before recording, uploading, sharing, or contributing footage, your unlawful or unsafe use of Rallio, or activity through your account. This does not apply to the extent a claim is caused by Rallio's fraud, wilful misconduct, negligence, or breach of law.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you, such as by posting the updated Terms in the app or on our website, updating the date above, or sending a notice where appropriate. Your continued use of Rallio after the updated Terms become effective means you accept them; if you do not agree, you must stop using Rallio.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, unless the laws where you live require otherwise, and you and Rallio submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales, Australia. Before starting formal proceedings, you agree to reach us through our contact page at https://www.rallio.lol/contact and try to resolve the issue informally, unless the matter is urgent or this requirement is not permitted by law.

General

If part of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. Our failure to enforce a term does not waive our right to enforce it later. You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our permission; we may transfer ours as part of a merger, acquisition, restructure, sale of assets, change of control, or operation of law. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines, and any feature-specific terms, form the agreement between you and Rallio.
